Conversion Course for Non-EU/EEA Nursing Graduates, Malta
The goal of the Nursing Adaptation Program is to address the gaps between the undergraduate training of nurses qualified in non-EU/EEA countries and the requirements for nurse training stipulated by EU regulations. The programme is divided equally between a theoretical component and a clinical placement, which run concurrently. The topics covered throughout the programme span across multiple facets of nursing care delivery. These encompass both health and social care issues, and range across the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare settings.
(a) a qualification in Nursing deemed suitable by the Board of Studies and recognized at least at Level 5 on the Malta and European Qualifications Frameworks or
(b) a professional qualification deemed by Senate to be comparable to the qualification indicated in paragraph (a).

Nurses who successfully complete this programme can apply for registration as a nurse with the Maltese Council of Nurses and Midwives. Nurses who successfully complete this programme can pursue CPD and further education opportunities which are available for registered nurses.
